Card Box

I saw this tutorial a while ago at Stampin 411, and decided that I was going to try it!!  I also decided that this is going to be Christmas presents for family and friends.  And filled with cards of course!!  Anyway, this is my first attempt!!  I think it turned out really well!  The hardest part was deciding what kind of designer paper and embellishment(s) I was going to use.  Here it is:

Sweet Baby Boy

Here is Damon's first page of his scrapbook.  I followed the sketch at Sketchy Thursdays.  I had this kit from Stampin' Up called "Special Delivery Boy" that I wanted to use.  The top picture is me with Damon just seconds old.  He is a little hard to see, but he's there!!  I was so happy when that was over!!  LOL!!  Had to do it drug free!  I used my circle punches from SU and wrote "Welcome Sweet Baby Boy!  I Love You!" on each one.  The last circle I punched out some tiny hearts with the coordinating papers and layered them on.  Here is the sketch I followed:

Delight In Life

So here's another card I came up with for a couple of challenges.  I really need to start scrapbooking, I'm getting too many cards!!  :)  Anyway, the challenges I am entering are Stampin' 411 for the colour challenge (Pear Pizzaz, Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black), and Fab 'n Funky Challenges where the theme is "Put those Papers Away", meaning do not use backing paper.  I'm all about the simple and easy, and this couldn't be simpler!!  Stamped the flowers with tempting turquoise and pear pizzaz ink, added the sentiment, and a little sparkly flower and it's done!!  Originally I just stamped the sentiment right on the card, but I like this better!!  So, here is my card:

Happy Mother's Day

So here is another Mother's Day card.  I used a black textured card, purple and white cardstock, stamps and ribbon.  The cardstock and stamps are from Stampin' Up, and the ribbon was in my stash.  The stamp set is called "Because I Care".  I inked the stamp with markers from Stampin' Up.  I am going to enter this card into the challenge at Craft Us Crazy and For Fun Challenge where the theme is "Mother's Day and/or Flowers".   Here is my card:

You Are So Amazing

I made this card for the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card.  The paper is from Stampin' Up.  I used "Sophia" stamp set from Close To My Heart for the bird and sentiment.  The feather things were in my stash and the bling was from the dollar store.  This could be a good male card as the colours aren't too bright or flashy.

because I care

So this is another card I did.  I really love the black and white, so I used it again, just with a different stamp and sentiment.  Stamp set is called "Because I Care" from Stampin' Up.  I coloured the flower (lilac, peony??) with Stampin' Up markers.  Added some bling from the dollar store because it needed just a little something!!  And here it is:

I Love Grandma

So for Mother's Day, I decided to scrapbook my mom with each of my kids.  I found this cute paper at my local scrapbook store with "I Love Grandma" written all over it, and thought it was perfect!!  I cut it in half and used half for each page.  I printed some pics with my mom and the kids over the years.  Finding pics with her and my son was a bit more challenging though, I don't have as many with him yet!!  Oh well, just have to start taking more!  Anyway, I used different coloured cardstock to frame the pics, and for the background..  Here are the pages:

I used some flowers and brads from my stash to add a little something, and the sentiment reads "Moments you'll never forget".

For Damon's page I used some ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment reads "Grammas Little Heartthrob", and is punched out and I used some of my Hodgepodge hardware to attach it.  I hope Gramms likes these!!  :)

Happy Mother's Day

Here is a Mother's Day card.  I followed the sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping.  I really loved the look of the black and white DT's card, so I did that for my card.  I am also going to enter this card at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge where the theme is "Mum's the Word".   Here is the sketch:

And here is my card.  I used black and white cardstock from Stampin' Up.  The butterflies were stamped with Punch Potourri, then punched out.  I also rolled them with a pencil to give them some dimension.  I stamped a swirl in bottom right corner to give the butterflies something to sit on.  The butterflies are blinged up with rhinestones from the dollar store.  A (crooked) Happy Mother's Day sentiment, and the card is done!  I really like the way this turned out (except for the crooked sentiment!  :-p).

Side view.  I don't normally decorate the inside of the card, but it was black cardstock and needed something!!  I had a couple of leftover butterflies, so I glued them inside.

It was 1960 something...

So these are a couple of more pages for the in-laws scrapbook.  I am trying to scrapbook these in order, and I wanted to show them in their youth, having fun!!  The paper is from Stampin' Up, and is double sided so I used two sheets and used each side.  The journaling I found online at http://www.thepeoplehistory.com/.  I searched the year 1961 (the year they were married) and printed it out and used the more interesting details.  For example: a gallon of gas in 1961 was 27 cents, and the average income was $5315.00.  Crazy!!  Anyway, here are the pages:

I love the Elvis look of my FIL!!  :)

I don't have very many pics of my MIL, but I did find these!!  It's hard to see, but the bottom one on the tractor, she is wearing flip-flops!!  Classic!!  :)
