Workshop Kits

I recently decided to offer kits for workshops I've done or are going to do.  As much as I love getting together with friends, sometimes it's just not feasible with our busy lives.  So with that in mind, I will be offering 3 levels of kits per workshop.  Level 1 kit is your basic supplies, level 2 is basic supplies plus the coordinating stamp(s), and level 3 is levels 1 and 2 plus coordinating ink(s).  The prices for level 1 kits will be fairly consistent, but levels 2 and 3 will fluctuate with each kit as some use more than 1 stamp or ink.  Prices include shipping.  If you are interested in any of the kits you may email me at freyaclosetomyheart@hotmail.ca and I accept PayPal and e-transfer as payment.  Kits will be ordered and mailed as soon as payment is received.

First up is Nevermore.  This kit creates a double layout perfect for Halloween.  You will also have lots of leftovers for cards or another layout (or 2).  :)

Level 1 kit: 6 sheets cardstock, 3 sheets Nevermore B+T, grey gems, black shimmer trim and instructions, $25.00

Hearts of the West Nevermore Blog Hop

Welcome to the September Hearts of the West Blog Hop!!  This month we are featuring a brand new paper pack from Close To My Heart called Nevermore.  This paper theme is perfect for the fall and Halloween layouts and cards.  As always we have lots of inspiration using this paper pack.  If you came from Anna Miller's blog you're on the right track, but there is really no right place to start.

Something new with CTMH is they are featuring a paper pack or two every month, and helping us inside-the-box-thinkers such as myself with already designed workshops.  I am loving this idea because it takes the guess work out of planning a workshop.  I've already decided to do the Nevermore workshop later in September.  You can check out my facebook event for it here.

So here is my two page layout:

My girlfriends and I have taken a picture together every year for the past few years.  :)

I used Little Monsters stamp set from CTMH.  Aren't they cute???

A little bit of paper piecing for the witch!!

So there's my project!!  Now hop along to Nancy Klein!!  I hope you enjoyed getting inspired with Nevermore!!  TFL!

Wedding Cards

So I promised I would be creating and posting more, and lucky you I'm sticking to that promise!!  Hubby and I are attending a wedding tomorrow and I needed/wanted to make a card.  I turned to Pinterest for inspiration, as I always do!!  I came up with 2 clean and simple cards.

I used the retired For Always paper pack from CTMH.  The ribbon and pearls are from SU, but everything else is CTMH.   Thanks for looking!!  :)

Bad Blogger :(

I admit it, I am a bad blogger!!  It was so fun in the beginning, and it's just sort of petered out for me.  I used to spend so much time on my own, and cruising other peoples blogs.  It's been 8 months since I last looked at my own blog.  For shame.  :(  I haven't even really been doing much crafting this past year either.  I got a job last summer, a temporary part time job close to home that turned into a permanent job this May.  I am very grateful for it however, as both kids start school this fall.  In 23 days to be exact, but who's counting???  ;)  I've also taken an interest in gardening, and spend most of last summer collecting cinder blocks for a flower bed.  So in short, life got in the way.  However, I would like to start spending more time here, and sharing with you my creations and showing you what's new with Close To My Heart.  I'm really excited about CTMH's new annual inspirations book, and some of their new programs that will help hobbyists-turned-business women like me.  :)

Earlier this year I tried to organize a community yard sale at the community hall.  It wasn't as successful as I'd hoped, but it did inspire me to try and clean/sort/organize my office/library/craft room.  I am now happy to say that I can get to my desk again!!  However, I just traded piles for piles, and need to work on trying to sell/purge the things I've no longer got a use or need for.  Selling online is so hit and miss and can be annoying and frustrating.  Perhaps when hubby goes hunting this fall I will have a scrapbook garage sale.  :)  Anyway here am I rambling on.  I am going to make more of an effort to blog and hop around.  I have not participated in a blog hop or any type of challenge in a long time.  I think it's time to start participating again!!

Thank you for listening to me ramble and keep checking back as I WILL be posting more frequently.  :)
