It's a Girl

So a good friend of mine recently had a baby girl.  I haven't seen them yet, but when I do I want to be prepared!!  I saw this sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, and wanted to use it to make a welcome baby card.  I dug through my scrap paper and miscellaneous stickers to make it.  So here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

Everything I used was just random scraps and bits.

Thanks for looking!!  :)

Snowflakes are kisses...

I decided to play along with another sketch challenge today!!  I haven't been doing much crafting lately, but when I saw this sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge I knew I had to use it!!  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I used retired Wonderland paper from CTMH, silver shimmer trim from CTMH and the Flakey Friends stamp from CTMH for the sentiment.  The snowflakes were stickers that I found in my sticker drawer.  The sentiment says "snowflakes are kisses sent from heaven".   A simple card that took about 5 minutes to put together!!

Masculine Cards

So hubby needed a card for a friend the other day, and while trying to find one I realized I am short on man cards!!  I have been on a roll ever since!!  I am trying to use up the little bit of paper I have from an old paper pack from CTMH called Victory.  I loved this paper, still do!!  Wish I had more of it!!  So all of these cards are made using the Victory paper.  The animal stamp is from a SU set called In Wilderness.  The other stamp set I used is from the Victory WOTG.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #15

So I have been on a mission lately to use up scraps and create some masculine cards.  Easy enough to do when you have a great sketch to follow!!  Here is the sketch, I found it here:

And here is what I did with it!  The cardstock and paper is from CTMH, a retired paper pack called Victory.  The image is from SU, one of my faves!!  :)  Perfect for those masculine cards!

August CTMH Specials

Hey there!  Sorry I didn't get this up sooner!!  It's been raining like crazy here (again) and I get crappy internet signal when it does that so I wasn't able to post sooner!!!  Have you got your new catalogue yet??  Are you done drooling??!!  There is so much new awesome stuff in this catalogue!!  I can't wait to get started!!  They have (as usual) awesome workshops on the go kits, and this season, something new, jewelry!!!  They have also expanded the home décor line with a couple more designed décor frames.  My head is spinning from all the possibilities!!!  I can't wait for September when life goes back to "normal" and I can start doing my workshops and classes again!!!  So now, a few pictures for you to drool over!!!

First up is this months Stamp of the Month, A Chocolate Affair, which is FREE this month with your $50.00 order!!  How sweet is that??!!

Next is some beautiful jewelry that you can make!!  This would be so fun at a little girls party!!!

This is the Base and Bling Workshop on the go!  Wearable art, so beautiful!

And if you haven't heard already, CTMH has released a new cricut cartridge, called Artbooking.  Do you love mini albums, then this is the cartridge for you!!!

One of the décor kits available!!  Again, so many possibilities with this!!!  :)

Have you heard of smash-booking??  CTMH has a new line called My Crush, their own smash-booking line!!  I refer to this as "messy scrapbooking".  Do you have a drawer or shoebox full of tickets or memorabilia??  This is a great way to use them without the "formality" of scrapbooking!!  Would also be great for kids!!

On top of all this, there are exclusive stamps that are only available to hostesses, gorgeous paper, fabulous workshop on the go's, and so much more!!  Shop with me today to get your favourites!!

Ayla's 1st Year Scrapbook

So I have been working on scrapbooks for my kids, and finally finished my daughters!!!  She will be 6 next month, so I am 5 years behind, but I got it done!!!  ☺  I didn't do a typical scrapbook for her.  I chose cute/funny pictures to scrapbook, and didn't really worry about recording the firsts.  I still plan on scrapbooking some of them, like the first time she crawled, etc.  I have a baby book that is half filled out with those important firsts recorded.  Maybe one day I will transfer them to a scrapbook page, but for now I am happy that I finally finished this!!  ☺

Commissioned Wedding Album Part 2

So my last post showed the progress on the wedding album.  I have finished it, and want to show you the rest!!!  :)

This is the Bridal Party page:

Last page, Mr & Mrs:

I also took this book and had it engraved at the same place I did the baby scrapbook, but I wasn't as impressed with it this time.  Some of the lines were really hard to see making it look incomplete (to me).  But, living in a small town leaves you with limited options, and unless I wanted to drive for 2 hours, there wasn't much I could do!!  The important thing is my customer loved it!!  ☺

Commissioned Wedding Album.

So a few weeks ago, I completed my first ever commissioned scrapbook.  The customer was so happy with the result!!  She contacted me again recently and has asked for a wedding scrapbook!  So here is what I have so far:

Intro Page.  Fabulo(us).  I used For Always paper from CTMH, glitter chipboard letter, and some flowers.

Here's the Story of Our Love. This is the For Always WOTG from CTMH.  If you have not purchased or played with a WOTG (workshop on the go) you don't know what you are missing!!  I call it "scrapbooking for dummies"!!  It's impossible to make a bad layout following their instructions!!  :)  Anyway, the only change I really made to this layout is the tag on the left page.  I added that so they would have an extra place for journaling!!

Bow using purple ribbon from my stash

Same purple ribbon around title block.

Purple shimmer trim I found at Micheal's I think!
