Just For You

I haven't been too active on my blog the past little while, but I have been crafting!!  Here is a card I made a couple of days ago.  It was inspired by CTMH sister, Liz Mullins Johnson.

I dry embossed the base card stock.  The blue paper is from the (retired) Skylark paper.  The stamp set used is the November 2014 SOTM, It's The Little Things.  I used (retired) licorice self adhesive gems.  The flower is inked in Buttercup, and rock 'n rolled in Hollyhock, then I used 3D foam tape for some dimension.  The leaves were stamped in Olive and fussy cut.  Sentiment is stamped in Desert Sand.  A simple, yet elegant card!  :)

Thanks for looking!!  :)

November Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Hearts of the West Blog Hop!!  If this is your first time with us, welcome!!  I hope you get lots of inspiration from these amazing ladies!!  The papers we are working with this month is Yuletide Carol.  It's one of 2 fantastic Christmas themed papers.  I chose to do Christmas cards this month.  I took lots of inspiration from fellow CTMH sisters and the Idea Books for my cards.  If you came here from Donna Digby's blog then you're in the right place.

I was trying to see how many cards I could get out of one piece of B&T paper.  :)  So here are my cards:

For this card I used the Frosted Cardmaking stamp set.

This card also uses the Frosted Cardmaking stamp.

This card uses the Pear and Partridge card making stamp.

This card uses Pear and Partridge Scrapbooking stamp set.

I used Adorn-able for this one.  I need to work on lining up my stamps better!!  The ornament is blinged out with tiny pearls.  Silver ink is not CTMH.

I used a stamp set called Natures Gift for this card.  Hard to see, but there is gem on the twine.

I still have about a half sheet of this B&T left, and I plan to make as many cards as I can with it.  Next on the hop is Linda Pekrul's blog.

Thanks for looking!!  :)

September's Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to September's Hearts of the West Blog Hop!! I hope you have been enjoying all the fabulous creations!!!

This months challenge is the Pathfinding paper pack, brought to you by the new Annual Inspirations, hand picked by Nancy Klein who is the team leader of Hearts of the West.

If you came from Terry Ann Diak's blog, then you're in the right place.  However, this is a circular hop, so there is no "right" place to start!!  So grab your drink of choice, and hop along with us!!

I almost didn't participate this month.  I had the paper pack, but didn't have any mojo.  So I pulled out my sketch books, and started browsing the new Annual Inspirations book for ideas.  After a couple of hours, I had 3 cards.

For this one I used C1473 Remarkable Wreath.  The wreath is stamped in chocolate ink, and the leaves are stamped in Autumn Terracotta, then rock 'n rolled in Barn Red.

I'm not too sure that I like this one.  The acorn is from the wooden arbour shapes (retired), and I was trying to colour and shade it.  Maybe I should have left it plain.  I also used sequins and C1504 Fall Harvest for the sentiment.

For this card I used C1573 Do Your Best stamp.  I did tone on tone stamping for the background on the olive cardstock.

So there are my creations for this month, I hope you liked them!!  Next on the hop is Sonia St Jean.

And as always, we love your comments!!  Also don't forget to contact your consultant to get your hands on any of the fabulous products you see!!

Thanks for looking!!  ☺

August Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Heart of the West Blog Hop!!  I hope you have been enjoying this hop!!  We have some very talented people, and a great color palette to work with this month!!

If you have come from Donna Thomson-Digby's blog, then you're in the right place!!  Don't worry if you get "lost", this is a circular hop, so you can join in anywhere!

For this month, I made 2 cards.  My first card uses the masking tape technique, that a fellow CTMH sister shared, and I really wanted to try it!!

I used whisper, sky and sorbet for the background, and stamped my image with outdoor denim and pear.  The stamp is from SU, and I used grey wool twine from CTMH.

My second card I really wanted to try the "smack down" technique, but I just wasn't satisfied with the way it was turning out so I went a whole other way.

The stamp I used was a hostess stamp, and is no longer available.  So cute though!!  :)  So there you have it, those are my projects for this month.

Your next stop is: Holly Young-Bowers's blog.  I hope you are enjoying this hop, and I hope you are able to join us next month as well!!  Below is a list of everyone participating this month.

July Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the July Hearts of the West Blog Hop!!  This month we are celebrating Canada Day and our theme is red and white!!  Did you know that Canada is 147 years old??  Once again this month we are hopping along with other CTMH consultants from the Hearts of the West Team.  So grab your drink of choice and hop along with us!!

If you came from Sonia St Jean's blog, then you're in the right place!!  If you're starting here, don't worry, it's a circular hop!!

Now, onto my card!!  I haven't ever really celebrated Canada day, so I don't have any pictures to make a layout, so I decided to make a card using red and white.  I took a CTMH card and cut it down to 4x4.  I then took a piece of white textured scrap and cut it to 3x3.  I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, and a scrap of patterned paper to back it.  I then used CTMH's 3D foam tape to give the card a bit of dimension.  I used a CTMH heart stamp and Ruby ink for the sentiment.  I was inspired by Pinterest for the design of the card itself.

A card like this would be really easy to make assembly style with or without help!!  Your next stop is Jackie Vandaele.

Thank you for joining us this month and we all look forward to next month's challenge. We all enjoy your comments and questions, so show your love and leave one for us. Contact your local consultant for any of the products shown, or to join us. You're welcome here!
